  • Global Country of World Peace: Vision of world peace inspired by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the TM movement. Yes, it is not just a "science" (in the Western sense of the word) - it is spiritual, because everything, including science, is spiritual in Hinduism. Therefore TM could be classified as a religion (in the Western sense of the word). And yes, he has made a lot of money out of TM, we can only hope he spends it wisely! Spirituality should really be free of charge (like this web site) as I believe everything else should be (I hope Bill Gates reads this!). All this "His Holiness" stuff I have a problem with too. We are all equally Holy, none more than Michael Jackson. Yet, meditation is becoming a central part of my lifestyle helping me to slow down my mind and live in the present moment and connect with the Divine Source within myself. TM is one of the quickest routes to get there. Ultimately I believe that we won't need any government or currencies, but creating a type of One World Government might be a necessary preliminary stage to creating Utopia.

  • MoveOn.org is working to bring ordinary people back into politics. With a system that today revolves around big money and big media, most citizens are left out. When it becomes clear that our "representatives" don't represent the public, the foundations of democracy are in peril. MoveOn is a catalyst for a new kind of grassroots involvement, supporting busy but concerned citizens in finding their political voice. Our international network of more than 2,000,000 online activists is one of the most effective and responsive outlets for democratic participation available today.

Young spirituals

  • These sites are from an online community of young people (with old souls) who are gifted with psychic skills. They share information on a wide range of topics: Chi, Ki and other energy manipulation skills. What I like about them is that they have not discarded their Christian roots. They don't see any conflict in practicing these skills and their faith. Visit their links pages to other similar sites.

  • International Society for Bipolar Disorders ISBD

Having been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder or Manic Depression in 1993, I try to inform people about this "state of mind", which has been a source of both great anguish and even more inspiration to me. Creativity often goes hand in hand with what people might call "a certain degree of madness". It has been my quest to understand my condition and to transcend it - to find emotional balance in the ups and downs of life. Though I realize that it might seem dangerous to believe that I have achieved this, I can honestly say that I am more content and peaceful today than I have ever been in the last 35 years. I do not take any medication anymore and I hope that other people who are "touched by fire" and struggle with BD will find my story encouraging. If all I achieve with my life were to demystify psychological disorders, I would be content. Recently I submitted an article on my experiences with BD to the ISBD Global (see WRR005).
